Whole Roasted Chicken

Ingredients:

1 Gourmet Fresh Whole Chicken 1 Pack Gourmet Herbed Butter 4 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Lemons, sliced 3 Red Onions, cut in wedges 1 Pack Potatoes, cut in wedges
1 Pack Button Mushroom 1 Tbsp Thyme Sprigs 3 Carrots, peeled & sliced

  • Herbed Butter

  • Mafa Premium Potatoes
    1 Kg
  • Makar Fresh Thyme
    50g
  • Jana Farms Organic Red Onions
    500g
  • El Tarouty White Button Mushrooms

Method:

  1. Preheat oven ti 240ºC
  2. Spread Gourmet Herbed Butter under chicken skin
  3. Stuff cavity with onion wedges, lemon slices & thyme
  4. Season with salt & pepper, and rub with Extra Vigrin Olive Oil
  5. Lay potatoes, carrots & red onion on a baking tray
  6. Place chicken on top. Add thyme sprigs. 
  7. Roast for 1.5hrs. in preheated oven. 
  8. After about one hour addmushrooms, stir in with the rest of the vegetables. 
  9. Remove from oven & cover with aluminum foil for 30 min. and allow to rest about 30 min. before serving.
