- Classic French Toast
|1 Gourmet freshly baked country loaf||2 tbsp vanilla extract||½ tsp ground cinnamon||1 ½ cups heavy cream or milk|
|Pinch of nutmeg||Pinch of salt||4 tbsp butter||Vegetable oil|
|Maple syrup||Fresh berries, banana or pecans|
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cream, and salt.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture. Fry until golden brown, then flip and cook on the other side. Serve with maple syrup and fresh berries.
*If you’re feeling extra adventurous add a fried egg on top with some beef bacon!
