A little about the cheese: Le Burgond is the pasteurized version of the French cheese Morbier. It has a creamy brown crust, the interior is two layers of glossy, yellowish-ivory paste, separated by a thin flavourless layer of ash. This edible ash separates the morning milking from the evening milking and has been served like this since its beginnings .

In the Kitchen: As it is a mild cheese, it is great for the whole family. We love it on burgers and sandwiches with fresh rocket or basil. Cube it or cut into fingers for kids lunchboxes or serve on a cheese platter. Delicious with fresh grapes and dried apricots.
