A little about the origin:
Comte originated in French Jura, a region known for its lush, green mountain pastures and hay fields, where the Montbeliard and Pie-Rouge cows pasture. Only the milk of these two breads are used to make this cheese!

In The Kitchen:
Comte is wonderful on fresh crusty bread, melted over fresh bread, added to salads, grated and added to soups, sauces and fondues. Storage: Should be stored in the fridge, alone or with cheeses of similar type, wrapped in grease-proof paper and placed in an airtight container.
