A little about the origin:
Brie comes from Ile de France. The name comes from the name of the region east of Paris. Before the railway system was developed, it was not possible to transport this cheese long distances without spoiling it. Thus, only Parisians could enjoy this cheese and it became known as "Parisian cheese."

In The Kitchen:
Brie is best served at room temperature with fresh crusty bread. Its creamy texture melts in your mouth and it is mildly flavoured. Brie is well matched well with figs, grapes, walnuts and almonds. Great on sandwiches, in salads and a must have on a cheese board bread.
Storage: Brie is best stored alone, wrapped in grease-proof paper and inside an airtight box.
